HOW HE STARTED CALISTHENICS AND HIS PROGRESSION JOURNEY
Kadir’s calisthenics journey began during his university years, when he was involved in the training environment of fitness gyms through an internship. During this period, being introduced to a movement approach centered on body control led him to focus more deeply on calisthenics.
PHILOSOPHY AND MINDSET
According to Kadir, calisthenics is a system with its own unique diversity; one that develops body control at every level, has a restorative nature, and teaches patience. At the core of this approach lies minimalism: the ability to build more with fewer resources.
This system, which can be practiced at home, in the park or in any environment, prioritizes functionality and wholeness. The goal is not merely muscle appearance, but to build movement and the body together through consistent training. As the level of difficulty increases, the importance of patience becomes even more evident. For Kadir, the main objective is to expand his limits one step further every day.
TRAINING SYSTEM AND FOCUS
Kadir’s training approach focuses more on increasing movement mechanics rather than simply adding load. Each movement has its own progression steps and development is achieved by moving through these stages correctly.
Focus areas:
• Strength and power development
• Core
• Joint health and mobility
He emphasizes that small mistakes in the training system can make it difficult to reach target movements in the long term. For this reason, he believes that push, pull, leg and core-focused training should be applied in the correct order and in a controlled manner. Form, grip, torso stability and range of motion (ROM) are especially the key determinants of training.
The program structure consists of static and dynamic movements, lifting work, as well as sections focused on high repetitions and sets.
